With operations in three countries, SRF provides flexible packaging solutions to a wide gamut of applications ranging from food to non-food, both in fast-moving consumer goods and industrial products. Exporting 178,000 T annually to approximately 70 countries, SRF saw an opportunity to improve machine efficiency, control inventory, and most importantly, reduce trim waste
Working closely with SRF, considering their requirements and necessities, Greycon implemented X-Trim which finds the most efficient trim solution to achieve the best possible results for the company. The software considers trim optimisation, value/cost, knife changes and pattern count.
The project was a huge success for SRF, with employees feeling comfortable using the new trim optimisation solution after the first week of training.
